Prices

My flute prices are based on the amount of work needed, rather than on the material. So although the cost of boxwood may be three or four times higher than that of maple, for example, a boxwood flute may not be significantly more expensive than a maple flute. The same applies to silver as opposed to brass keys.

I do make an additional charge for the white rings on the sockets on my baroque traversos. Many historical flutes were made with ivory mounts but these have mainly a mechanical (solidity) and ornamental rather than an acoustic function.
