I recommend that a new instrument is played for no more than 20‒30 minutes daily. The period of time can then be increased gradually thereafter.
If the flute bore dries out, almond oil can be applied every now and then to the inside of the flute.
The wood of every flute that leaves my workshop has been thoroughly seasoned. But sometimes a flute needs to be re-reamed after about a year. This, together with small repairs such as new padding for the key, is of course provided free of charge.
